SLAYING CASE REMAINS PRIORITY.(CAPITAL REGION)

BETHLEHEM -- Authorities investigating the Delmar slaying of a law clerk and the vicious beating of his wife will keep at it through the weekend, an official said Friday.

``We are still working around the clock,'' Bethlehem police Lt. Tom Heffernan said.

Police Chief Louis Corsi said earlier this week that officials would decide Friday whether to release the house of Peter R. Porco, 52, whose bludgeoned body was found on Nov. 15 at the foot of the stairs on the first floor. Joan Porco, 54, was in an upstairs bedroom with severe head and face injuries. She is in critical condition at Albany Medical Center Hospital. …
